The musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s ‘Percy Jackson – The Lightning Thief’ is set to debut at Teatro Liberdade in São Paulo on October 10. Produced by Lab Cultural, this Brazilian production brings the acclaimed Broadway and West End spectacle to the country for the first time.

The cast features João Lucas as Percy Jackson, Marianna Alexandre as Annabeth, Fernando Caruso as Mr. D, and Caio Paduan as Poseidon. Based on the popular literary saga, the musical follows Percy’s journey as he discovers he is the son of Poseidon and embarks on a mission to prevent a war among the gods of Olympus.

The production follows the success of the franchise, which has seen significant growth through recent adaptations on Disney+. Brazil is noted as having the second-largest fan base for the series globally.
