Peregrine falcon released after wildlife rehabilitation in Argentina
A peregrine falcon has been released back into the wild following an 11-day rehabilitation period in Argentina. The bird was initially discovered by residents in Choele Choel after it showed difficulty flying due to a laceration on its right wing.
Local authorities from the Subsecretaría de Fauna Silvestre and the Secretaría de Ambiente y Cambio Climático coordinated the rescue. The falcon was transferred to San Antonio Oeste for veterinary care, where it underwent treatment and was monitored in a specialized flight cage to regain its strength and coordination. Once professionals confirmed the bird had recovered its ability to fly, it was returned to its natural habitat.
