Perez Hilton enters residential treatment following self-harm incident

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., has entered a residential treatment program to focus on his mental health. This follows a self-harm incident during a livestream on August 4 that prompted a response from Miami-Dade sheriffs.

His family released a statement clarifying that Hilton is lucid, communicates clearly, and has not suffered the memory loss or physical injuries reported in recent online rumors. He is expected to remain in residential treatment for several weeks, during which time he will have limited contact with others and no access to phones or laptops.

Hilton’s three children are currently safe and under the full-time care of their grandmother. The family noted that their priority is providing stability and normalcy for the children during this time.
