Perez Hilton's family receives GoFundMe support during mental health recovery

Perez Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., is currently in a residential treatment program to focus on his mental health and recovery. This follows a medical crisis in early August involving an act of self-harm during a TikTok livestream at his Miami home, which resulted in hospitalization and surgery for physical injuries.

To support his family, producer Tom D’Angora has launched a GoFundMe campaign with a $25,000 goal. The funds are intended exclusively for Hilton’s mother, Teresita Lavandeira, and his three children—Mario, Mia, and Mayte—to help cover the unexpected expenses of full-time childcare and maintaining stability for the children while Hilton is in treatment.

Hilton’s family recently issued a statement clarifying his condition, noting that he is lucid and communicating clearly with relatives. They specifically denied online reports claiming he had lost significant portions of his memory or was experiencing profound disorientation.
