Perfect rock band to release 1981 concert on vinyl

The Polish rock band Perfect is releasing a vinyl edition of their legendary ‘Rock Jamboree ’81’ concert, recorded at Warsaw’s Sala Kongresowa on October 26, 1981. The release, scheduled for October 23, 2026, by Agencja Muzyczna Polskiego Radia, marks the first time this performance has been available on vinyl.

The recording captures the band at the height of their original lineup, featuring Grzegorz Markowski on vocals, Zbigniew Hołdys and Ryszard Sygitowicz on guitars, Zdzisław Zawadzki on bass, and Piotr Szkudelski on drums. The set includes fourteen tracks, including the anthem ‘Chcemy być sobą’.

Band members shared reflections on the historic event, which occurred just weeks before the declaration of martial law in Poland. Zbigniew Hołdys recalled the intense energy of the performance, noting a moment when vocalist Grzegorz Markowski tore off his shirt during the show. Markowski described the experience as a defining moment that secured the band’s legacy for the following four decades.
