Perfect World reports NTE: Neverness to Everness revenue exceeds 2 billion yuan

Perfect World has announced that its open-world RPG, ‘NTE: Neverness to Everness’, has surpassed 2 billion yuan (approximately $298 million USD) in cumulative global revenue as of August 18. The game, developed by Hotta Studio, saw a significant revenue increase of roughly 600 million yuan during the month and a half spanning from early July to mid-August.

Approximately 60% of the total revenue was generated through the game’s official platforms, including official PC and Android versions. While external stores like Steam and Epic Games Store were introduced in July, official platforms remain the primary revenue drivers.

Despite the strong performance of ‘NTE’, Perfect World reported a total loss of approximately 118 million yuan for the first half of 2026. The company attributed this deficit to timing discrepancies in financial reporting, specifically noting that marketing expenses for ‘NTE’ were recorded upfront while user spending is recognized incrementally over time.
