Various performing arts events and festivals are scheduled across Romania for August 2026.

The 13th edition of the Puppets Occupy Street festival, titled ‘Stardust Edition’, is organized by Teatrul pentru Copii și Tineret Colibri in Craiova. Running from August 25 to September 1, the festival features 31 types of workshops led by artists from Romania, Moldova, Belgium, Germany, and Turkey. A notable addition is a workshop designed for atypical children and youth to promote inclusion through art.

In Constanța, the Opera Comică pentru Copii (OCC) is participating in the Summer Season of Performing Arts (SEAS). The program includes the sensory show ‘Bubu visează’, inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, which will run daily from August 16 to 22 at the Hotel Continental Forum. Additionally, the award-winning musical ‘Matilda, the Musical’ will be performed at the Casa de Cultură Constanța on August 22 and 23.
