Performing arts productions debut in Chile and Argentina
In Valparaíso, Chile, the company Desnudo Cirko will premiere ‘Más Allá’, a contemporary circus and science fiction spectacle. Directed by Ingrid Flores Moncada, a 2023 National Award winner for Performing Arts, the production integrates live music, audiovisual projections, and hair suspension techniques. The show, which explores themes of the future and transformation, is scheduled for August 20 through 23 at the Centro Comunitario Las Cañas and is funded by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage.
In Argentina, the Compañía Cuerpo en Escena is debuting ‘Crónicas D’, a contemporary dance piece directed by Francisca Barría Ampuero. Featuring sixteen performers, the work explores movement as an uncontrollable urge or a collective fever. The production focuses on the visceral and physical dimensions of dance, presenting it as both a necessity and a form of resistance.
