Performing arts see returns in Peru and Chile

The musical production ‘Avenida Larco’ has announced its return to the Peruvian stage in 2026. Directed by Ciccia, the show aims to recreate the atmosphere of 1992, featuring iconic Peruvian rock bands such as Arena Hash, Río, and Los Mojarras. The production will reunite much of the original cast, including Juan Carlos Rey de Castro as Andrés, alongside new performers.

In Chile, the Teatro Municipal de Viña del Mar is hosting a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera ‘La Traviata’ in October. This performance is a co-production with the collective Lírica Disidente and marks the return of opera to the venue three years after its reopening. The production features an international cast led by Chilean soprano Annya Pinto and includes a contemporary scenic interpretation of the classic work.
