Pergamino hosts 87th Rural Expo with health and agricultural focus

The 87th Expo Rural de Pergamino is currently underway at the Sociedad Rural de Pergamino grounds, running from September 10 to 13. The event features a variety of agricultural activities, including livestock judging, auctions, and equestrian skills, alongside new digital initiatives such as an official streaming service.

In addition to the agricultural focus, the Centro Oncológico Pergamino (COP) and the Fundación Leandra Barros are participating in the exhibition. They are hosting a stand to promote their work in health, prevention, and patient support. The COP, which provides accessible radiotherapy, was developed through a partnership involving the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (CNEA) and INVAP. Recent advancements include the incorporation of PET/CT technology to strengthen diagnostic and follow-up capabilities in the region.

The expo also emphasizes education through the ‘Futuros Cabañeros’ contest for agrotechnical students and various workshops for youth and children.
