Pericos de Puebla defeat Piratas de Campeche 8-3 in playoffs

The Pericos de Puebla defeated the Piratas de Campeche 8-3 in the opening game of their postseason series at the Cruz Azul Nelson Barrera Romellón stadium.

After an early lead by Campeche driven by RBI doubles from Jesse Castillo and Armando Álvarez, Puebla mounted a comeback. Henry Ramos provided the decisive offensive surge, hitting a solo home run in the fifth inning and a grand slam in the eighth inning with the bases loaded against pitcher Darrell Thompson.
