Perikatan Nasional seeks RoS clarification on logo suspension

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition is seeking clarification from the Registrar of Societies (RoS) regarding the suspension of its logo use, following a complaint lodged by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan stated that the coalition has requested details regarding Bersatu’s complaint, which led to the RoS suspension effective September 23. Takiyuddin noted that if the suspension remains, component parties could contest the upcoming Melaka state election under the PAS banner, arguing that using different logos is a common practice in elections.

Bersatu Chief Information Officer Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has accused PAS, which serves as the chair and administrator of PN, of using “delay tactics” to avoid providing explanations to the RoS. Faisal claimed that PN leaders were previously questioned by the RoS for four hours regarding the matter and argued that the coalition's request for clarification on the complaint is unreasonable.
