Perlora: Administrative steps taken for abandoned residential city in Asturias

The abandoned residential city of Perlora, located in the municipality of Carreño, Asturias, is undergoing a new administrative phase. The Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) has published an announcement regarding the simplified strategic environmental assessment procedure for the special protection and interior reform plan of the Perlora Residential City.

Originally constructed in 1954, Perlora was designed as a social vacation destination providing organized seasonal stays for workers. The site features low-rise housing, various amenities, and a church. Following a decline in its original operational model, the complex closed in 2006 and has remained in a state of abandonment since then.
