Permafrost survival game enters Early Access on PC

SpaceRocket Games and publisher Toplitz Productions have released the story-driven survival sandbox game, Permafrost, into Early Access. The title is available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

Set in a post-climate catastrophe world locked in an endless winter, players control Rook, an engineer searching for a lost friend. The gameplay features an open world where players must navigate frozen cities, forests, and caves while managing resources, crafting tools, and building shelters to survive extreme temperatures.

Players can engage in single-player mode accompanied by a loyal dog or participate in online co-op with up to four players. The game includes encounters with rival factions and raiders, requiring players to decide whether to trade or fight. Various editions are available, including Standard, Companion, and Ultimate editions.
