Permafrost survival game to enter Early Access in October 2026

SpaceRocket Games and publisher Toplitz Productions have announced details for the upcoming survival sandbox game, Permafrost. Set in a post-apocalyptic world transformed by extreme cold following a lunar catastrophe, the game follows a character named Rook on a quest to find a friend named Icarus.

Players must navigate a frozen landscape, managing survival against freezing temperatures, wildlife, and rival factions. The game features an open-world environment where players can utilize a dog for reconnaissance and carrying supplies. It supports solo play and cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.

Permafrost is scheduled to enter Early Access on October 9, 2026. A limited playtest is scheduled to take place from October 2 to October 6, 2026, providing players with a one-hour session to experience the gameplay ahead of the official Early Access launch.
