Permira and CPP Investments complete £2.7 billion acquisition of JTC
Permira and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) have completed a £2.7 billion take-private acquisition of JTC plc. Following the deal, JTC has delisted from the London Stock Exchange to operate as a privately held entity.
Under the terms of the agreement, Permira holds a majority stake, while CPP Investments has contributed approximately £350 million (C$660 million) for a roughly 20 percent interest. JTC, which provides fund administration, corporate, and trust services, intends to use the partnership to execute its ‘Genesis era’ business plan.
This strategic plan aims to double the size of the group through organic growth and strategic mergers and acquisitions across North America and Europe. The company will also focus on integrating next-generation technology, including AI-enabled client delivery and intelligent automation, to support its global platform.
