Permodalan Nasional Madani gives scholarships to 1,590 Indonesian children
PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), operating under Danantara Indonesia, announced the PNM Scholarship 2026 programme. The initiative will provide financial assistance to 1,590 high‑performing children from low‑income families who are customers of PNM’s Mekaar and ULaMM programmes nationwide. Scholarships cover a range of education levels, from primary school and special‑needs schools (SLB) to university studies. PNM’s Director‑General Kindaris said education is essential for expanding future opportunities for prasejahtera families and that the programme extends the group’s empowerment work beyond ultra‑micro enterprise support. The effort aligns with national data indicating millions of Indonesian children are out of school, especially among poor and disabled households.
