Pernambuco authorizes more than 5,300 public sector positions

The state government of Pernambuco approved a new public competition to fill 5,337 vacancies across security, health and university sectors. The hiring plan includes 3,905 jobs for the security forces – 70 officer and 1,250 soldier slots for the Military Police, 60 officer and 510 soldier slots for the Firefighters, 45 delegate, 70 clerk and 1,200 police agent positions for the Civil Police, and 700 posts for the Penal Police.

In the health area, the contest offers 428 doctor positions, 283 health analyst roles, 542 health assistant posts and ten sanitarians. The University of Pernambuco will also recruit 21 technical analysts, 31 technical assistants and 117 doctors. Earlier, the government had also authorized a separate Military Police contest for more than 1,300 vacancies, covering both officer and soldier careers.
