Pernambuco disability rights secretariat joins health innovation congress
The Executive Secretariat for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (SEPD) participated in the 2nd Pernambuco Congress of Innovation & Integration in Health (CPIIS). Held in Olinda, the event brought together health professionals, researchers, and managers to discuss health transformation in the state.
During the congress, SEPD promoted the ‘Pernambuco Acessível’ initiative, providing information on state inclusion policies. A key highlight was the ‘PE Conduz’ program, which offers free and accessible transportation for people with disabilities to attend medical appointments and exams, a service that saw its fleet expanded last year.
