Pernambuco Governor Raquel Lyra conducts international mission in Spain
Pernambuco Governor Raquel Lyra has engaged in several strategic meetings in Spain to advance infrastructure and cultural management in her home state.
In Madrid, Lyra signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). This technical cooperation agreement aims to modernize the governance and administrative management of 17 state-managed cultural facilities, including museums, cinemas, and theaters. The partnership seeks to improve operational efficiency, develop shared management models, and promote the exchange of best practices across the Ibero-American region.
Additionally, Lyra met with executives from the Spanish company Acciona in Jerez de la Frontera. The discussions focused on planned investments in water supply and sanitation services in Pernambuco. Acciona, in partnership with BRK, is part of a consortium responsible for investments exceeding R$ 17 billion following a sanitation concession agreement. The governor emphasized that the state government will closely monitor the execution of these contractual commitments to ensure improved service coverage across various regions of the state.
