Pernambuco launches startup immersion program in Portugal

The Government of Pernambuco has launched the ‘Global. PE – Portugal’ program, an initiative designed to take ten representatives from Pernambucan startups on a business mission to Portugal. Funded by R$ 270,000 from the Inovar-PE Fund, the program is a joint effort between the Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation and the Pernambuco Science and Technology Support Foundation (Facepe).

The mission aims to connect local companies with European investors, universities, and innovation centers. The itinerary includes a bootcamp at the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, participation in the Web Summit Lisboa, and engagement with the Aveiro Tech Week in the Aveiro region. Additionally, participants will visit innovation hubs in Northern Portugal, such as Portus Park and the UPTEC Science and Technology Park at the University of Porto, to facilitate networking and international market validation.
