Pernilla Wahlgren Discusses Prospects for Allsång på Skansen Hosting
Swedish entertainer Pernilla Wahlgren, who recently returned to the stage despite a throat infection, said she will step down as host of the popular summer programme Allsång på Skansen. She noted that naming a successor is difficult, emphasizing that the next presenter should be experienced and able to sing.
Wahlgren recalled Sanna Nielsen’s seven‑season tenure and mentioned several capable Swedish hosts. She singled out Peg Parnevik, one of this year’s guest artists, as a potential candidate, while stressing that age and experience also matter.
The remarks came ahead of the programme’s upcoming season, with the broadcaster yet to confirm who will take over the role.
