Pernod Ricard Nigeria deepens partnership with NAFDAC to boost consumer protection

Pernod Ricard Nigeria’s senior management team visited the Lagos office of Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to expand cooperation on product integrity and consumer safety. Operations Director Bode Omosagba reaffirmed the company’s support for NAFDAC’s mandate, emphasizing joint efforts against counterfeit spirits and the importance of strict regulatory compliance.

The companies discussed sustainability initiatives, including the “Glass to Life” bottle‑recycling program and the global “Drink More Water” responsible‑drinking campaign. NAFDAC’s Director of the Port Inspection Directorate, Dr. Olakunle Olaniran, praised the firm’s commitment and urged greater local production and technology transfer to aid Nigeria’s industrial development. The partnership aims to strengthen consumer confidence, protect public health, and foster a conducive environment for trade and investment.
