Perodua cuts Axia prices by up to RM4,700 in Malaysia
Perodua announced an immediate price reduction for its Axia compact car, the most affordable model in Malaysia. Savings range from RM500 to RM4,700, with the 1.0 G variant now priced at RM33,900 (down from RM38,600). Other trims were also lowered: 1.0 X to RM38,500, 1.0 SE to RM43,000, and 1.0 AV to RM49,000 in Peninsular Malaysia; comparable cuts were applied in East Malaysia.
The company said specifications and quality standards remain unchanged. President and CEO Zainal Abidin Ahmad explained the cuts result from ongoing operational efficiency improvements and are intended to ease cost pressures on Malaysian consumers, reflecting better supplier and dealer collaboration within the automotive ecosystem.
