Peronist leaders gather for José Manuel de la Sota tribute
Eight years after the death of former Córdoba Governor José Manuel de la Sota, a tribute event in Buenos Aires brought together diverse factions of Peronism. Organized by his daughter, journalist Candelaria de la Sota, the gathering at the Hotel Savoy served as both a memorial and a relaunch of the television cycle ‘Puentes’.
The event was notable for its political convergence, featuring key figures such as Córdoba Governor Martín Llaryora, former governor Juan Schiaretti, and former Economy Minister Sergio Massa. The presence of representatives from various sectors of the movement was highlighted by Candelaria de la Sota as a reflection of her father’s legacy of building bridges and setting aside internal differences.
While the event emphasized unity, it also highlighted existing political divisions, specifically noting the absence of national deputy Natalia de la Sota, who remains distanced from the ‘cordobesismo’ leadership of Llaryora and Schiaretti.
