Peronism organizes diverse events for Día de la Lealtad across Argentina

Peronist factions and organizations across Argentina are organizing diverse events to commemorate the ‘Día de la Lealtad’ (Day of Loyalty) on October 17, reflecting internal political fragmentation.

In Formosa, the Justicialist Party, led by Governor Gildo Insfrán, will hold a meeting to contrast historical Peronist principles with the current national administration of Javier Milei. Similarly, in Catamarca, provincial deputies are organizing activities in La Merced to support the community amidst economic difficulties while criticizing the national government.

In Buenos Aires, the League of Mayors is hosting its own independent event in Moreno to establish a distinct identity within the movement. Meanwhile, the CGT (General Confederation of Labor) has opted for a dual-format celebration consisting of an institutional ceremony and a musical festival, intentionally avoiding a massive mobilization to allow leaders freedom of action regarding different political alignments.

In Santiago del Estero, Senator José Emilio Neder announced a ‘Loyalty Marathon’ to engage the community, emphasizing the historical importance of the date for the movement.
