Přerov Castle Walls Host Multigenre Summer Music Festival
The eleventh edition of the "Hudební léto na hradbách" festival will take place on the historic walls of Přerov during the summer holidays. Eight concert evenings will feature a range of styles—from blues and jazz to swing and chanson—performed by artists from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. Organisers highlight a pronounced female presence, with six of the eight nights led by women singers. All concerts start at 19:00, and entry is voluntary. Notable acts include the Polish blues band Around The Blues, Czech singer‑songwriter Petra Börnerová, Slovak musician Tomáš Bobrovničký, and South‑African‑born guitarist Gerald James Clark, who recently earned international recognition for his album *Black Water*. The August programme continues with British vocalist Gavin Skeggs and the Otto Hejnic Band, Czech‑Slovak group WBand, swing ensemble Swing Shower, and concludes with Slovak multi‑genre singer Andrea Zimányiová.
