Přerov issues ten‑year tender for new municipal bus operator
The Czech city of Přerov will launch a public tender to appoint a new operator for its municipal bus network starting in 2028. The contract is planned for ten years and is valued at roughly 238 million Czech crowns (without VAT) for a four‑year period, covering about 850,000 kilometres of service annually.
The tender, approved by the city council, requires at least 22 buses, three spares and one smaller vehicle for special routes. Bids are open to an unlimited number of carriers and must be submitted by 16 September. City officials, including Deputy Mayor Tomáš Navrátil, emphasised the goal of providing reliable, high‑quality transport for residents and visitors. The current operator, Arriva Morava, has run the service since 2018 under a contract that ends in 2027.
