Přerov southwest bypass receives key zoning approval
The southwest bypass of Přerov has received a key zoning decision, marking a major step for the Olomouc Region's largest planned transportation infrastructure investment. The first phase of the project is expected to cost between 600 and 700 million CZK.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2028 or 2029, with an estimated duration of two to three years. The initial stage includes the reconstruction of Tovární Street, the construction of two new roundabouts on road I/55, and the expansion of the Mádrov underpass. The project aims to redistribute traffic and relieve pressure on the city's overburdened roads.
