Přerov Unveils New Water Playground with Interactive Features

The city of Přerov opened a new water playground in the Bří Hovůrkových courtyard on 23 July. The 3.7‑million‑CZK facility includes water wheels, channels, bridges and a rain‑garden, allowing children to experiment with water flow. Deputy mayor Miloslav Dohnal highlighted its educational value and family appeal.

Funding for the project came from the Olomoucký Region, which contributed 1.8 million CZK through the 2025 Tourism Infrastructure Support Programme, with the remainder covered by the municipal budget. Additional amenities such as benches, bike stands and shaded seating were also installed.
