Perpignan Mayor challenges hospital supervisory board election results

Louis Aliot, the Mayor of Perpignan and President of the Metropolis, has expressed dissatisfaction regarding the election for the presidency of the supervisory board at the Perpignan Hospital Center. Aliot had campaigned for the position to advocate for patient interests and to address critical healthcare challenges, including emergency room congestion, staff working conditions, and medical shortages.

Despite Aliot's position as a local leader capable of providing territorial coordination, a majority of the assembly chose to renew the outgoing presidency. Critics of the decision suggest the outcome was driven by partisan interests and political arrangements rather than the practical needs of the hospital and its users.
