The victory was sealed by a late try from captain Jerónimo de la Fuente, who described the season as "the toughest of his life" but praised the team's resilience. He said, "It was hard, the whole season and this match were hard… but the result is there, we are in the Top 14!" The win ensures Perpignan stays among the elite clubs for another season, while other semi‑finals saw Stade Français defeat La Rochelle and Racing 92 edge out Pau.
