Perris car crash kills 8-year-old girl, leaves two critical

An 8-year-old girl, Camila Leon, was killed in a car crash on the Ramona Expressway in Perris, Southern California, on Saturday. The collision involved the Leon family's vehicle, which was struck by a car driven by 52-year-old Silvia Corona.

Corona has been arrested and charged by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury. The crash left Leon’s father and brother in critical condition. Local residents noted that speeding is a frequent occurrence in the area where the accident took place. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
