Former professional wrestler Perry Saturn has criticized Sean Morley, known by his WWE ring name Val Venis, following his recent appearance at an independent wrestling event. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Saturn expressed that the return could damage Venis's professional legacy.

Saturn noted that the Val Venis character was heavily built around a specific physique and presentation. He argued that returning to the ring with a diminished presentation risks changing how fans perceive his past accomplishments. While acknowledging that Venis is a capable worker, Saturn speculated that the decision to accept a low-paying independent booking might stem from financial desperation.

Saturn emphasized that he has not spoken to Morley in decades and was making assumptions regarding his motivations. He stated, “I would never get in the ring not be able to present that package,” suggesting that such appearances may overshadow the hard work performed during Venis's high-profile career in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
