Perry Saturn details 2004 shooting and recovery journey

Former WWE and WCW wrestler Perry Saturn has shared details regarding a violent incident in 2004 and his subsequent personal struggles. During an interview on ‘INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet’, Saturn recounted intervening to protect a woman from two men, during which he was shot in the neck and shoulder. He noted that due to shock, he initially believed he had merely been punched and had to be persuaded by police to enter an ambulance.

Saturn also discussed his journey through addiction and homelessness following his departure from WWE in 2002. He stated that he has been sober since 2010. He credited a workers' compensation settlement from a workplace accident involving a telephone pole for providing the financial stability to purchase a home, which he still inhabits. Currently, Saturn is managing health issues including a heart condition and recovery from two hip replacements.
