Persebaya and Persija overhaul squads ahead of 2026/27 season

Persebaya Surabaya is targeting three local strikers as part of its preparation for the 2026/27 season. The club has already secured Ramadhan Sananta and is reportedly eyeing Dendy Sulistyawan, Eksel Runtukahu and Hokky Caraka, according to social‑media sources.

Persija Jakarta announced the release of seven players, including Brazilians Carlos Eduardo, Bruno Tubarao, Jean Mota, Emaxwell Souza, Allano Lima and two loanees, Thales Lira and Alaaeddine Ajaraie. President Mohamad Prapanca said, “Kami mengucapkan terima kasih sebesar‑besarnya kepada mereka yang selama ini telah menunjukkan etos kerja, perjuangan, dan profesionalisme yang luar biasa.” The club says the exits are part of a broader rebuild for the upcoming season.
