BRI Super League 2026/2027 season updates and match results

The BRI Super League 2026/2027 season is underway with several key developments across the league. In a second-week match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Persebaya Surabaya defeated PSIM Yogyakarta 1-0. The decisive goal was scored by Alex Martins in the 81st minute, following a red card for PSIM's Adrian Purzycki in the 49th minute. This victory moves Persebaya to seventh in the standings.

In other league action, Persija Jakarta secured a 2-1 victory over Persib Bandung at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, with Denis Kolinger earning Man of the Match honors. Bali United, Madura United, and Persija Jakarta currently lead the standings with perfect records of six points from two matches. Madura United's Dimitar Mitkov has emerged as the league's top scorer with four goals.

Logistical challenges have emerged for Persija Jakarta, which must find an alternative venue for its upcoming match against Java United because Gelora Bung Karno Stadium requires a 10-day grass recovery period following the recent derby to prepare for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. Meanwhile, Arema FC has announced the signing of Nigerian striker Samuel Otusanya and has requested that Persik Kediri supporters refrain from attending their upcoming derby at Kanjuruhan Stadium to ensure safety and order.
