Persib Bandung defeats Persijap Jepara 2-1 in Super League comeback

Persib Bandung Persijap Jepara Super League football comeback Thom Haye

Persib Bandung secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Persijap Jepara during the third week of the 2026/2027 Super League at Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium. Despite trailing 1-0 following a 13th-minute penalty by Persijap's Pirulo, Persib responded with a goal from Thom Haye in the 21st minute.

Uilliam Barros scored the decisive goal in the 55th minute to seal the win. The victory is particularly notable as it follows an exhausting travel schedule for the squad, which included a 13-hour flight from South Korea after an AFC Champions League Two match against FC Seoul. Captain Marc Klok and coach Igor Tolic highlighted the team's mental strength and ability to perform despite physical fatigue from traveling approximately 14,000 kilometers over the previous 17 days.

This win moves Persib Bandung to fifth in the standings, while Persijap remains in the lower rankings.
