Persebaya and Persib manage player fitness during competition break
Indonesian football clubs Persebaya Surabaya and Persib Bandung are managing player fitness and schedules during the current competition break.
Persebaya Surabaya is focusing on the rehabilitation of four players—Ernando Ari Sutaryadi, Francisco Rivera, Alfan Suaib, and Matheus Lagoa—who suffered muscle injuries. Coach Bernardo Tavares stated that recovery programs are being tailored to individual needs, specifically addressing thigh issues for Ernando and Alfan, and calf issues for Rivera and Lagoa. The team aims to secure three points in their upcoming away match against Isenmulang Kalteng FC on October 9.
Persib Bandung has granted its squad a four-day rest following a dense schedule of domestic and international matches, including an AFC Champions League Two fixture in Seoul. Coach Igor Tolic is monitoring the recovery of Gakuto Notsuda, Sandy Walsh, and Luciano Guaycochea. The club is preparing for a demanding October schedule, which includes seven matches across the Super League and the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup.
