Persepolis Preseason Camp in Turkey Determines Six Player Futures

Iranian club Persepolis spent a 12‑day training camp in Turkey to prepare for the 2023‑24 season and to assess the status of six squad members. Coach Mehdi Tartar said the camp would be used to decide whether the players – Tavi Bafuma, Daniel Gra, Yasin Salmani, Alireza Homayounfar, Alireza Enayat‑zadeh and Amir Reza Rafie – remain with the team or depart.

During the camp a friendly against Turkish side Pyramidz ended 1‑0 after Tavi Bafuma entered in the second half and scored with a header from a corner in the 86th minute. The match, while not decisive for the league lineup, gave the coaching staff a chance to evaluate individual performances and test tactical variations.

The outcomes of the camp and the friendly will shape Persepolis’ squad composition ahead of the upcoming league campaign.
