Persib Bandung cleared of FIFA transfer ban

FIFA removed the registration ban on Indonesian football club Persib Bandung in late July 2026. The sanction, imposed in May 2026 after a contract dispute with former defender Daisuke Sato and upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on 16 March 2026, prevented the club from registering any new players.

With the ban lifted, Persib can now register new signings for the 2026‑27 season, including midfielder Mariano Peralta and other recent recruits such as Balsa Sekulic, Ragnar Oratmangoen, Gakuto Notsuda, Gabriel Mutombo, Sandy Walsh and Luka Menalo. The decision also removed PSIS Semarang from the FIFA ban list, while several other Indonesian clubs remain barred.

The club can proceed with squad building ahead of a busy competition calendar, allowing new players to focus on training and integration without registration uncertainty.
