Persib Bandung defeats Arema FC 1-0 in Piala Presiden 2026 opener

Persib Bandung opened its 2026‑2027 season with a 1‑0 pre‑season victory over Arema FC at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung on 25 July 2026. The lone goal was scored by Uilliam Barros in the 24th minute, securing the win in the Piala Presiden 2026 competition.

Head coach Igor Tolic, who made his debut for Persib after replacing Bojan Hodak, said the result was encouraging but emphasized that he is still adapting to his new role.
