Persib Bandung signs Sandy Walsh and eyes coach Osmar Loss amid transfer rumours

Persib Bandung announced the signing of Indonesian international defender Sandy Walsh on a three‑year contract running to 2029. The 31‑year‑old, who previously played in Belgium, Japan and Thailand, is expected to bolster the club’s defence and provide a stable option for the national team ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The club is also linked with Brazilian coach Osmar Loss, who has previously guided Persepolis and Buriram United to league titles. Media reports estimate his salary at about Rp27 billion ($1.5 million) and note that negotiations are ongoing. Further speculation suggests that if Loss joins Persib, he could work with Argentine striker Mariano Peralta, who is rumored to be close to completing a move to the Bandung side after a period as a free agent. Analysts cite the potential partnership as part of Persib’s broader strategy to strengthen both the squad and coaching staff for domestic and Asian competition.
