Persib Bandung Faces Challenging ACC Group as Midfielder Returns Home to Argentina

Persib Bandung was drawn into Group B of the 2026/27 ASEAN Club Championship, where it will face Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Johor Darul Ta'zim (Malaysia), Cong An Ha Noi (Vietnam), Svay Rieng (Cambodia), Port FC (Thailand) and the playoff winners Ezra FC (Laos) and Shan United (Myanmar). Coach Igor Tolic described the lineup as a major test and an opportunity to gauge the team’s quality, noting that the club will begin pre‑season preparations in July.

During the competition break, midfielder Luciano Guaycochea travelled to his hometown of Santa Rosa in La Pampa, Argentina. He spent time with family and friends and kept fit with light training at his uncle’s academy, combining a holiday with routine exercise.
