Persib Bandung coach Igor Tolic pushes back first team training to July 11

New Croatian coach Igor Tolic has arrived in Bandung and begun individual conditioning programs for Persib Bandung players. Several squad members are dealing with flu‑like symptoms and other health issues, prompting the staff to avoid a collective session until everyone is fit.

The originally scheduled first team training on 7 July was postponed to 11 July. Tolic said the delay allows new signings to adapt to the local climate, recover from travel fatigue, and ensures that foreign players delayed by flight problems can join the group.

The coach stressed that the priority is physical preparation for the upcoming President’s Cup 2026 and a congested season that includes the Super League, League Cup, AFC Champions League Two and the ASEAN Club Championship.
