Persib Bandung promotes youth Rafi Rasyiq and hires Ahmed El Wardani as head of scouting

Indonesia's top‑flight club Persib Bandung announced a three‑year professional contract for academy graduate Rafi Rasyiq, promoting him to the senior squad. Deputy CEO Adhitia Putra Herawan said the move showcases the club's commitment to sustainable player development, adding that the young striker is ready to learn from senior teammates and coach Igor Tolic.

The same day Persib introduced Ahmed El Wardani as the new Head of Scouting. El Wardani, holder of an AFC A Coaching licence, previously worked with Kuala Lumpur FC and Penang FC, bringing Asian and Middle‑Eastern networks to the club. According to Adhitia, his expertise will improve talent identification, performance analysis and the transition of academy prospects into the first team.
