Persib Bandung signs Montenegro striker Balsa Sekulic on two‑year deal

Persib Bandung announced the signing of Montenegrin striker Balsa Sekulic on a two‑year contract, replacing forward Andrew Jung who left for a French club. Sekulic, 28, joins after ending his contract with Mornar Bar, where he helped the team win the 2025/26 Montenegro Cup and finish as top scorer with 15 goals. He has also played for Gangwon FC in South Korea and Metalurg Bekabad in Uzbekistan, and has represented Montenegro at U‑21 and senior levels.

Club officials said the acquisition strengthens the squad for the upcoming Super League 2026/27 season and competitions such as the AFC Champions League Two, ASEAN Club Championship and the President’s Cup. Deputy CEO Adhitia Putra Herawan noted, “We believe Balsa has the capacity to meet the challenges and contribute positively to the team’s performance.” Transfermarkt values the player at roughly Rp10 billion.
