Persija and Persib gear up for 2026 season with new coaches and President's Cup

Persija Jakarta announced that South Korean coach Shin Tae‑yong will lead the team in the President's Cup 2026, a pre‑season tournament scheduled for July as preparation for the Super League 2026/27. The club highlighted the tournament's role in building chemistry, improving performance and testing the squad before the new league season.

Meanwhile, Persib Bandung completed its coaching staff overhaul by appointing two Croatian assistants under head coach Igor Tolić: Karlo Reinholz as fitness coach and Zlatko Runje as assistant coach. The additions are intended to raise the physical conditioning of the players and strengthen the team's foundation ahead of domestic competitions.
