Persija Jakarta plans permanent JIS home as Shin Tae‑yong eyed for coaching role
Persija Jakarta announced that the club aims to make Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) its fixed home venue starting with the Super League 2026/27 season. President Mohamad Prapanca said the club has negotiated with JIS management and the DKI Jakarta government to secure consistent access to the 80,000‑seat stadium, noting that previous seasons forced the team to use alternative venues.
Separate reports suggest South Korean coach Shin Tae‑yong is a leading candidate to take over as Persija’s head coach. Salary rumors claim his monthly earnings could exceed Rp 2 billion, not including additional perks. A quoted source noted, "(Gaji Shin Tae‑yong) 2 miliar per bulan. Itu di luar kendaraan, apartemen, dan sebagainya," and cited previous figures of $1 million (≈Rp 18 billion) per year during his tenure with the Indonesian national team. These discussions are linked to the club’s broader plan to strengthen its competitive position in the upcoming league season.
