Persija Jakarta eyes Japanese midfielder Kyohei Yoshino

Persija Jakarta is reportedly targeting 31‑year‑old Japanese midfielder Kyohei Yoshino for the 2026‑27 Super League season. Yoshino, who has played for J1 clubs such as Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Cerezo Osaka and Vegalta Sendai, also spent a spell with Daegu FC in South Korea, where he recorded seven goals in 48 appearances. Known for his versatility, he can operate as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder or centre‑back. The rumor surfaced after his name appeared on a transfer list, but neither Persija nor Yoshino’s current club has confirmed the deal. If the move materialises, the player would bring top‑level Japanese and Korean experience to Persija’s midfield ahead of the upcoming domestic campaign.
